I will require a good quality photograph of the subject, taken in good light. I’m happy to receive as many images as you’d like to send and together we can choose the best that would translate into a drawing or painting.
Portraits are created using top quality lightfast soft pastels, pastel pencils or coloured pencils on acid free paper Clairfontaine pastelmat paper .
Your final portrait will be mounted in a card mount unless otherwise specified . It will arrive with a protective glassine sheet over the portrait, wrapped and presented in a box .
Larger sized portraits will also be mounted within a card mount with a protective glassine sheet, wrapped and posted within protective card layers.
Due to the nature of pastels and coloured pencil there will not be a fixative sprayed over as this distorts the colours. Please handle the portrait with care and do not touch the portrait. Place within a frame with glass not acrylic as acrylic may cause static.
A frame can be purchased as an extra - please mention this when booking and we can discuss this further.
